Domaine de l'Ecu Ange 2017

It’s natural, rare (2600 standard bottles produced for 2017 vintage).

This “Ange” cuvée comes from Pinot Noir vines cultivated at low yields (around 25 hectoliters per hectare). After manual harvesting, the bunches are put in vatting for ten days before pressing. Fermentation takes place using indigenous yeasts, before maturing for 10 months in amphorae, without fining, filtration or adding sulfur.

This great Pinot Noir combines grace, vigor and generosity. The attack is silky, combining power and delicacy. The fruit is bright, with notes of ripe black fruit, blackberry, blue flowers, violet and spices. The finish stretches with elegance… A pleasure for the eyes is also at the rendezvous with this superb reproduction of a fresco from the Abbey of Blanche Couronne , in Loire-Atlantique.
